Welcome to Your Comics Online.

The concept behind Your Comics Online is simple: A comic-collector site run by collectors that is an easily accessible reference and an on-line comic convention with an additional auction function.

How is it any different than any other auction site? Simply put: As collectors and investors ourselves, we know about what's being bought and sold on the site. We have seen many of the "tricks" unscrupulous people will use to try and rip people off and we are aware of several dealers with a negative history where buying and selling comics is concerned.

It stands to reason that there is no way to prevent all the negatives all the time, but looking at the way it has been done until now, there's a better way and this is what we think that better way starts as.  If you see something you think is lacking, incorrect or you think of a better way to acomplish the goal of safer online comic buying and selling, sound off and the site will be modified.  To start off, here's the basic buying/selling guidelines we're starting with:

If an obviously fraudulent auction is posted, it will be removed and the seller will be banned.

If one seller or buyer is found to be involved in shady business practices, they will be banned.

Even if someone gets something past us once, don't expect it to work twice.

The idea is to have a community where most of us know each other and can expect not only fair grading, but correct shipping, and the reduction of any other "negative phenomena" that tends to cheapen the comics we collect.

This site is a starting point for beginners as well as a meeting place for veteran collectors. There's articles on collecting for investment, collecting for fun or collecting for both; how to buy and sell on-line; how to safely ship comics; how to check for restoration; where to buy your supplies and links to many of the excellent comic-related sites out there so you can fill in the gaps in your collection or just find out how many "Captain Marvels" there have been or how many issues of Solar Valiant Comics published. An on-line glossary of comic-related terms is underway, plus suggestions on grading.

Basically, anything related to comics will always have a home here. This site will never become a place where people sell tea-cozies, beanie-babies or images-of-Jesus-on-cheese-sandwiches -- It's always going to be 100% comics and comic-related ONLY.

This site is intended to always be a work in progress -- As the field of comics grows and changes, so will the site.
